OH an deff get a fuel psi gauge an if you go with glow shift make sure u get the isolator or a snubber cause there cheep sending units wont last a month if you dont. I was frustrated an pissed off to say the least with the job but i got it done just take ur time. When attached to your parking light or headlight power it automatically dims the backlight by a set amount (approx 30 ) when powered. LOL I was turnin a wrinch to tightin the air line goin to the back of a psi gauge for my airbags an the bast!^? slipped off an i punched the crap out of my winshield an broke my knuckle. On the 7 color gauges they have a wire for dimming (orange) but its not for variable dimming. It deff took me a couple of hours an i managed to crack my winshield with my fist. of the indicator lever from the back (firewall side) side and let it drop down. From under the dash looking towards the back of the car. hook the other end into the tab on the column shift rod. I never had a problem with my wires bein short they all reached the fuse box just fine then i used a couple of fuse taps an then ran the one hot wire to the battery and the ground to a screw on under the dash. lever from the back side (firewall side) and let it drop down. then get a 1/8" threaded male with a compression nut on the other side to connect to the little clear hose they give you. The boost is easy there is a 3/4" plug back side of the fuel filter canister below the map sensor just take the plug out and buy a 3/4" by 1/8" pipe reducer, got mine at ace hardware they didnt have a brass one so i got the galvanized, brass would probably be better but it shouldnt matter. To properly read a cabling diagram, one has to learn how the components within the method operate. i am trying to wire a 1985 chevy silverado 4x4 2500 for a 7 way rv connector the connector on there is a 7way with only 4 wires running to it i added a electric brake control to the wiring. I tried to hook up a tailgate led light bar that attaches - Answered by a verified Chevy Mechanic. Glow shift gauges have a power and we setting as well not Sure if your gauge does this. Just pluck out you dimmer switch and find the wire with a test light that activates the dimmer. On the egt probe i would drill the center if the manifold just before it conects to the turbo. I have an 08 silverado hd, diesel, with towing package. I'm running glow shift gauges and simple put a Positap on the we wire and the gauge dims 30.
